Meet our Iron stained 432hz A Native American style flute. This captivating flute is constructed from western red cedar wood and darkened with a natural stain that reacts to each flutes unique chemistry, changing the color of the wood to an translucent charcoal color. Cedar is a light weight soft wood. The density of the wood creates a wonderful resonant vibration that you can feel in your hands and chest as you play. We have burnt six rings into the flute to give a elegant aesthetic and nice tactile experience. The beautiful orca fin block is made from colorful pieces of wood that are laminated together to create a pattern.
What is 432 hz tuning?
432 hz refers to the frequency that the flute is tuned to. The universal standard tuning is 440hz which most other instruments are tuned to. 432 hz is a popular alternative tuning, often referred to as Earth Tuning because some believe that 432 hz aligns with the Schumann resonance, the Earth's natural electromagnetic frequency. We will let you do your own research!
How does 432 hz tuning compare to the rest of your 440hz tuned flutes?
A 432 h flutes will sound flat when compared to our A 440hz flutes. Some people may find this slightly lower frequency to be more calming. Sound is subjective, so you should listen to both options and see what resonates with you best.
One consideration when deciding between 440 hz tuning and 432 hz tuning is that most instruments will be tuned to the universal standard concert tuning 440hz. 432 hz instruments are not compatible with 440hz instruments so if you are planning to play along with others it is safest to choose a 440hz flute.
Why offer 432 hz tuning in the key of A
After much research and consideration we decided to offer 432hz flutes in the key of ‘A’. While other keys in 432 hz surely would be interesting, we noticed very specific applications for the key of ‘A’ when it comes to the ‘Schumann Resonance’ as well as stimulating the throat and third eye chakras (based on specific frequencies and notes as well as the flute itself). We love the idea of supporting practitioners and every day people alike on their journeys of healing and spiritual growth. Though we believe strongly that all of our flutes are wonderful for healing and therapy, we wanted to offer this unique tuning for those prefer it to the standard 440hz flutes.
