This beautiful flute has had a homemade iron stain applied to darken the wood into a rich opaque black color. You can still clearly see the wood grain through the stain. This flute is lightweight and easy to hold. It has a deep and resonant voice.
This flute has a 1 inch bore diameter and is about 26 inches long, about 11 and 1/2 inches from the mouth end to the middle of the first fingering hole. The holes are about 1 1/4 inches apart from center to center.
