This flute is made from a bright red piece of eastern aromatic cedar. It has beautiful subtle color shifts and a straight grain pattern. It smells faintly of cedar even through the varnish. Its voice is clear and strong with a deep resonant quality to it.
This flute has a 1 inch bore diameter and is about 26 inches long, about 11 and 1/2 inches from the mouth end to the middle of the first fingering hole. The holes are about 1 1/4 inches apart from center to center.
