Our dark stained cedar flutes have a homemade stain applied to darken the wood and give it a weathered, aged look. They will have a lighter colored block to contrast, and are signed with gold ink on the back.
Our Basic flute in the key of A is the smallest and highest pitched of all our Basics. It has a sweet and cheerful voice. The small size of this flute makes it an ideal choice for a child or someone with small or arthritic hands.
This flute is 21 ½ inches long with a 7/8 inch bore. The fingering holes are (from center to center) approximately 1 inch apart. The distance from the mouth end of the flute to the first finger hole is approximately 9 ¾ inches.

This is my first flute and it exceeds all expectations. It’s so pretty and well made, and the sound quality is phenomenal. It was really easy to adjust the block. Thank you very much for such an awesome flute. I'm very new to using a Native American flute, only about 4 weeks into it. I originally bought an inexpensive flute to see if I wanted to take it up and then after some time and a lot of research I decided to buy a Stellar flute. I absolutely made the right decision. A short learning curve and a little practice everyday is working very well for me. I now find myself perusing the other Stellar flutes that are available in different keys. I’m new to the Native American style flute, but do have some music background. I am impressed with the beautiful tone of the Basic flute, key of A and its simple but elegant look. The kit came quickly and thanks to the available videos I was able to finish it relatively quickly. The flute looks and sounds great. Now it's just up to me to learn how to play being that it's my first flute.
