Close your eyes and immerse yourself in the deep, melodic tones of our Hijaz G flute. Let this unique scale transport you to a different land. Made from one of my favorite flute woods, hemlock, this warm golden colored flute will be the favorite addition to any flute collection. Listen to the video to hear the flute being played. Each of these flutes will have a fancy low profile block that I have chosen to compliment the colors and character of the wood. The block might be a little different than what is pictured, but rest assured I will choose one that I think complements your unique flute best.

This flute is tuned to a Hijaz scale in the key of G which has a Hebrew or middle eastern sound to it. Larger and lower in pitch than our Hijaz A flutes, this flute is ideal for a skilled intermediate to advanced flute player. This style of flute is more difficult to play than our Native American styles of flute because of the uneven hole spacing and the lowest hole being set much further down on the body of the flute. Some people learn to play this hole with their pinky finger.

We don’t yet have a dedicated booklet for the Hijaz flutes, but they do come with a finger chart that is specific to this unique scale.

When placing your order, leave your size preference or flute key in the order comments.  We will always match the bag to the flute ordered unless stated otherwise. We select our medium bags when the size is unspecified because they fit the largest range of flutes.

Our We offer our flute bags in three different sizes, small, medium, and large.  Our small bags are ideal for key of A flutes. Our medium bags are ideal for flutes in the key of G, F#, F, and E.  Our large bags fit our D, Bass C and Bass B flutes.
