This beautiful G Drone flute has an exceptional , multi dimensional voice. The soothing and meditative tones will bring you to a new state of calm. Handcrafted from western red cedar with a striking light-to-dark color shift and a walnut inlay center spline, this G Drone flute features two mouth holes so you can play each side independently of one and other or play them together. The drone side hole, located on the right side of this flute makes it an ideal choice for flute players who place their right hand on the bottom three holes. This flute is 22 3/4 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide. It has a 7/8 inch bore diameter.
The first fingering hole is 10 1/2 inches down from the mouth end.
The fingering holes are spaced 1 inch apart center to center.

Native American Drone flutes, sometimes called "double" flutes, are just that, THey are two flutes that are joined together. One side player like a normal flute and the other side plays one or more harmony notes. All of our drones have two blowholes so you can play as a single flute or play both sides together. They also feature an optional drone side hole with an included decorative plug so you can have two different options for harmony notes.
Drone flutes are harder to play because they require more air (two slow air chambers!) and they are wider than normal native flutes. This flute would be best suited to someone who has a little experience playing Native flutes, or someone who has played other instruments.
