Crafted from a stunning piece of Western Red Cedar, the warm rainbow of browns, reds and terracotta is accented by a walnut inlay center spline. Designed with two mouth holes, you can play this drone as a single flute or harmonize with yourself and play both sides. The drone hole is conveniently placed on the right side, making it a perfect choice for flute players who use their right hand for the lower three holes.
This flute is 23 1/2 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide. It has a 7/8 inch bore diameter.
The first fingering hole is 10 3/4 inches down from the mouth end.
The top three fingering holes are spaced 1 inch center to center, the lowest three fingering holes are spaced 1 1/4 inches and 1 1/2 inches apart.

Native American Drone flutes, sometimes called "double" flutes, are just that, THey are two flutes that are joined together. One side player like a normal flute and the other side plays one or more harmony notes. All of our drones have two blowholes so you can play as a single flute or play both sides together. They also feature an optional drone side hole with an included decorative plug so you can have two different options for harmony notes.
Drone flutes are harder to play because they require more air (two slow air chambers!) and they are wider than normal native flutes. This flute would be best suited to someone who has a little experience playing Native flutes, or someone who has played other instruments.
