This flute is made from a stunning, highly figured piece of Birdseye maple. Named for it's tiny eye like dapples this flute looks like rain on water. It shimmers and moves in the light. It has a rosy hue with splashes of brown and green. It is a very hard wood with a substantial feeling weight. This flute is bookmatched meaning the top of the flute has a mirrored pattern and the bottom looks mismatched. This is made by cutting a flat piece of wood and folding it together like a book.  Both of the side four direction holes have been filled wiht clear resin to improve the tuning of this flute, take a look at the picture before buying. 

Measurements

This flute has a 1 inch bore diameter and is about 26 inches long, about 11 and 1/2 inches from the mouth end to the middle of the first fingering hole. The holes are about 1 1/4 inches apart from center to center.
