Redwood in the key of D -#4623

$385.00

Low stock: 0 items left

This much sought after redwood flute does not disappoint. The wood is made from an old covered bridge that was deconstructed. The bridge was over a 100 years old so the wood itself is very old.  It is a light weight, softwood which adds a wonderful resonance to the voice. This flute has a visible glue line which is a minor cosmetic flaw. Take a look at the pictures before buying.

Measurements

The low D is about 26 inches long with a 1 1/8 inch bore diameter. It’s about 11 ¼ inches from the mouth end to the middle of the first fingering hole, and the fingering holes are 1 ¼ inches apart from center to center but are clustered in groups of three to make them easier to play. There is a nearly a 2 inch gap between the top three holes and the bottom three holes.

Is This The Right Flute For Me?

I love my lowD Stellar flute. Lily made my experience great from start to the time my flute arrived. As I wrote to Lily: “Thank you and Stellar Flutes for all you do to make the world a more beautiful place.
