This flute is made out of a beautiful piece of western red cedar. The wood is a lovely rich, red brown color. Cedar is a light weight softwood which gives the flute a resonance you can feel in your hands as you play. It should be protected against dents and dings. This flutes voice is deep and full with a smooth quality to it. 

Measurements

This flute is 28 1/4 inches long with a 1 1/4 inch bore diameter. It's 12 inches from the mouth end to the center of the first fingering hole. The fingering holes are clustered in sets of three to make them easier to play, with the first set being spaced 1 inch apart center to center and the second set being 1 3/8 inches apart center to center. there is a 2 inch gap between the first cluster of holes and the second.

I kove my Redwood C

Stellar Flutes create lovely flutes. My low C Redwood has been a joy to learn to play.
