Cherry is one of my favorite woods for making flutes out of. The wood itself is a light rosy color that will darken with age into a rich red brown. It's a hard and durable wood that would be ideal for someone who wants to travel with their flute. It lends a sweet and mellow quality to the voice of the flute.

This flute is about 21 ½ inches long, 9 ½ inches from the mouth end to first hole, and the holes are 1 inch apart center to center.

Excellent made flute. Love it! Only thing is I got it in the key of g though and wished I had purchased one that was in a lower tone. It’s my first ever flute and that’s my only regret. The craftsmanship is beautiful
