Close your eyes and let the low and soothing tones of this Poplar Native American style G flute wash over you.  This unique hardwood is very lightweight which lends a resonant quality to the voice of flutes made from it. It is light green in color with some paler areas. It is more durable than cedar, but lighter weight and softer than cherry or walnut. 

This flute is made from FSC certified wood.  FSC certification ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.

This 6 hole flute is tuned the universal standard 440 hz concert tuning and features a pentatonic minor scale ( the most common scale for modern Native American flutes). With the guidance of the booklet, you can learn to play many other scales on this flute which make use of all 6 holes.

The groove in these blocks milled to a 7/16ths inch width which is perfect for all three of our flutes making kits as well as any Premiere or Beginner flute in the keys of A, G, F#, F, E. You can double check with me before purchasing or measure your existing flute to make sure the width of the sound hole matches the 7/16” wide groove in these blocks. Some stellar flutes in D, C, and B will also use this size of block, but it is best to ask before buying!

When sold separately these blocks will come with a piece of leather for tying the block on, when added to a kit order, they only come with extra leather upon request since the kits already come with leather.
