This flute is made from a stunning piece of highly figured Port Orford cedar. The wood has a bright yellow color and the grain pattern has waves that move and change in the light. Port Orford cedar has a lovely spicy lemony smell that comes through the varnish. If you are sensitive to smells, this may not be a good choice for you . The wood is medium in weight with a smooth feeling finish. This flutes voice is strong and deep.
The finger holes are every so slightly out of alignment so take a look at the pictures before buying.

This flute is 28 1/4 inches long with a 1 1/4 inch bore diameter. It's 12 inches from the mouth end to the center of the first fingering hole. The fingering holes are clustered in sets of three to make them easier to play, with the first set being spaced 1 inch apart center to center and the second set being 1 3/8 inches apart center to center. there is a 2 inch gap between the first cluster of holes and the second.
