This flute is made from a bright orange piece of our Washington native Douglas fir wood. This particular piece has a bold striping pattern with chevrons that run all the way up one side. It is a “softwood” technically though it's much harder than most of the soft wood flutes we make and has more of the characteristics of a hardwood. It has a bright clear voice.
This wood is FSC certified. FSC certification ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.
This flute is about 21 ½ inches long, 9 ½ inches from the mouth end to first hole, and the holes are 1 inch apart center to center.
