Native American Style Flutes and Flute Making Kits

This flute is just stunning visually. And, like all my Stellar Flutes, beautiful and so much fun to play! Alder is one of my favorite woods!

I am nearly brand new at the NA flute except that I have always been drawn to its sound. I have several CD's, that are close to wearing out. After buying a gift flute for my son and hearing him play, I decided to have a go at it myself.
I did buy that first flute from a different supplier because the deal was too good, but it is not a traditional style flute with its glued on, whistle style, sound hole cap.
I wanted a traditional styled flute in a lower key. I thoroughly perused the Stellar web site and chose from the in-stock flutes the key of G. It arrived quickly, well packaged, with a helpful start-up booklet and purchased flute bag.
I like it very much. It was a bit too airy sounding at first but with close attention to my inexperienced playing techniques, improvements were made and the tone is very pleasing and relaxing to me.
I discovered that part of the airy sound was due to small beads of the sealer coating on the cutting edge of the sound hole. After consulting with the internet I realized that I could fix that and I did, with a small file. After tweaking the edge the airy sound is less prominent but I like what is left over. The softness of the
tone is just right for me.
I am a habitual fixer and DIYer so I did not mind at all that I had to work on the flute a bit. I also love, all, new learning experiences. I'm sure that Stellar Flutes would have fixed the situation had I asked but I can't help myself when a new fixing opportunity presents itself, voided warranty or not.
Stellar Flutes, I see, as a good choice.

Stellar Flutes create lovely flutes. My low C Redwood has been a joy to learn to play.
Ordering/receiving this flute was a simple process.
I believe Stellar flutes makes this a more beautiful world, and my Redwood C is a great example.

I've been playing for just under a year (started in Mar, 2024). With this purchase, my collection now totals nine flutes from five different makers (two from Stellar). This Walnut Dm is my favorite of the bunch. My previous favorite was my other Stellar, an F# basic. What I'm saying is that Stellar makes a good flute. Even their basic flutes are better than other makers premium flutes. I don't think you could go wrong with a Stellar flute. They play like a dream. I'll be back for another when I see one that lights me up (I'm hoping they build another C bass flute in myrtle).

Superb beginner’s flute

Lovely instrument, excellent service and she seems to really like the horse totem.... she swapped it in even before finishing it off. The flute has a mesmerizing sound. thank you.
