This flute is made of a beautiful piece of eastern aromatic cedar. The wood has a dark pink color with splashes of bright yellow throughout it. It has several colorful tight knots which add even more character to this lovely flute. This flute is bookmatched, which means the front of the flute has a mirrored pattern and the back is mismatched, see the pictures. The wood has a subtle cedar smell and a medium weight with a smooth feel. It’s a soft wood but it is more dense than western red cedar.
This flute is about 21 ½ inches long, 9 ½ inches from the mouth end to first hole, and the holes are 1 inch apart center to center.

Excellent made flute. Love it! Only thing is I got it in the key of g though and wished I had purchased one that was in a lower tone. It’s my first ever flute and that’s my only regret. The craftsmanship is beautiful
